This year, Cinco de Mayo (May 5) includes a trio of reasons to celebrate. Cowgirl Granola turns four, the Quarry Farmers & Ranchers Market turns two and it is also–and perhaps most notably–the day that commemorates the Mexican military’s 1862 victory over France’s Napolean III at the Battle of Puebla.
While not a major holiday in Mexico–though they will use any excuse to have a fiesta–Cinco de Mayo has become quite a festive day in the United States–and we definitely need more reasons to relax and kick up our heels!
With three reasons to celebrate, I thought it would only be appropriate to create a scintillating menu of bold, Mexican flavors that might inspire you to gather friends and family together and get in the kitchen and cook! And eat and drink. It is a fiesta, right?
