Dark Chocolate Smoothie

Rich, cold, creamy and chocolate. What better way to start your day? Loaded with protein, potassium and omega fatty chain acids, you will want to keep these ingredients on hand all of the time. Filling, but not too filling, rich but not too rich, this smoothie is spot on delicious. Sprinkle with a few hemp seeds. (This recipe can easily be doubled.)

  • 1 cup almond milk plus 2 tablespoons if it's too thick
  • 1/2 cup of ice
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey
  • Hemp seeds optional as garnish


  1. Place all ingredients in the blender.
  2. Blend for 15-30 seconds, until everything is well blended. If it's too thick, add 2 tablespoons almond milk and blend again until combined.
  3. Pour into a glass and start your day in a healthy and delicious way.
